this new contemporary romance.
William has spent six years running from his past and the

affections, William knows he’s reached a breaking point and something’s
going to give.
Maggie had lived her entire life without hope until one
man showed her what it meant to be loved. He’d been her light in a
lifetime of darkness. Six years ago, that
darkness stole him away. Without him,
she’s surrendered herself to an existence she doesn’t know how to escape.
When the family William left behind is struck by
tragedy, he is called back to the one place he’s sworn to never return to
again.
In a moment that will change his life forever, William
comes face to face with the girl who, with one look, captured his heart.
He is unable to ignore the buried desires and the hope for the future
they’d once believed they’d have.
Now William is ready to fight to take back what had
been stolen from him six years before. But
he never imagined what that fight might cost him.

I rated When We Collide with FOUR leaves! This was a heartwarming and heartbreaking read all at the same time. I am very impressing with A.L. Jackson's writing style. The fact that I can feel all of these emotions in the same novel is amazing to me. I also was very connected with all the characters. Even the secondary characters are well thought out and very realistic. This is definitely a book that I could not put down.
This story deals with ultimate pain and betrayal by ones that are supposed to love and protect you. It deals a lot with physical and emotional abuse which can be gut wrenching to read but was extremely telling.
William never believed in love at first sight but after seeing Maggie for the first time, he knew she was someone he could never forget. After a summer of whirlwind romance, things began to complicate and William and Maggie never spoke again for six years. When William has to return home six years later because of a family emergency, things get set into motion again. William always felt the need to protect Maggie from the abuse she endures and he will once again stop at nothing to save her.
Check this book out, ASAP! I promise you won't be disappointed.
