Adams Apple Review

Adams Apple
Touch of Tantra #1
Author: Liv Morris

Adam Kingsley reigns as the young prince of Manhattan. Everything he touches turns to gold making him the envy of Wall Street. Women swoon at his feet, money falls out of his pockets, and his killer good looks are as wicked as sin. A dangerous trifecta.

What more could a thirty-two year old man wish for? Maybe that his life never changes and his past stays far away? Sounds reasonable but life seldom is.

Kathryn Delcour is a beautiful and alluring socialite with unique erotic tastes. When she suddenly appears on the New York City social scene, Adam finds her too tempting to resist. He has to have her, but she is warned to stay away from him and his player ways. She tries her hardest to keep him at arm's length however Kathryn's arms may not be strong enough to hold Adam at bay.

Hidden secrets, Kathryn's passion for an ancient sexual practice, and a former business partner wanting to inflict a deadly revenge set the scene for a wild ride as Adam tells the story in his own words.

I rated Adam's Apple FOUR AND ONE HALF LEAVES!! Let me start off by saying that in the beginning Adam hooked me. The story is told from Adam's POV. He is basically a womanizing jerk and a millionaire bad boy. He’s got the looks, the money and all the women he could ever want falling at his feet.  Then he meets Kathryn and his life will never be the same. Adam is so good at being arrogant that he may even lose the only woman he falls for if he doesn't straighten up his act.

The book starts off with Adam having a not so great day when he fires one of his partners, Simon. Later in the evening, at a charity event, Kathryn catches Adam's eye and he has to know everything there is to know about her. As the day goes by, he can not get her out of his mind and he has to have her. When Adam visits Kathryn, he has to spend the night with her because of an issue with Simon. When he spends the night, he learns that Kathryn is a Tantra teacher, which is a sex teacher that involves sexual healing and etc. (This was the first time I've ever heard of this term.) As the night goes on Kathryn teaches Adam some basic information and that is when their relationship starts. The book is not only about Kathryn and Adam but is also suspenseful trying to find out why Simon is so against him.
What I liked Kathryn, instead of her being a crying martyr-victim girl, she was as strong, self secure, intelligent and clever as he was. Another major thing I liked about Kathryn was that she was into kinky sex, and I thought that was a nice change from seeing it usually comes for a guy and not a girl. Fortunately, the writer keeps us interested with the banter between Adam and Kathryn which made this book a great read.

I really enjoyed this book!! I love the characters and enjoyed the passion, drama, and suspense in this book. I highly recommend this book, and I can not wait to read more in this series.

He turns to me and smiles. “Thanks, Adam, but I’m not sure that’s a good idea. The last time you took me out for drinks, you ended up abandoning me at the bar. You left with two women, if I’m not mistaken. Rubbed my married ass into the ground with that move. Damn, they were hot as shit, too. Remember?”
“Distantly.” I pause while my mind travels back to that night. The hotel room. The shiny surface of handcuffs. Ties attached to bedposts and long slender legs. “They were recent college graduates. Sorority sisters. Kinky fucking must’ve been their majors. They were practically pros. Who carries bondage shit around in their purse, anyway?”
“Man, the life you lead, Adam. Sometimes I envy you, other times I think you’re a crazy motherfucker. One day, you’ll fall for someone and it will be hard. Who knows, maybe this woman from last night? What was her name again?”
“Kathryn Delcour.” Her name rolls off my tongue. Just the thought of her makes me smile and erases any trace of the kinky night from my mind.
