~*SYNOPSIS*~
A sweet and steamy New Adult Romance from Amazon bestselling author of the Ruthless People series, J.J. McAvoy…
After an erotic one-week fling with a musician she meets in a bar, Thea Cunning never expects to see Levi Black again. Then Monday morning comes around, and she discovers that her former lover is not only her professor, but he’s also one of the top criminal lawyers in the state of Massachusetts. With everyone in class vying to be one of the twelve disciples—a group of twelve students that Professor Black takes under his wing—tensions run high. Thea considers dropping his class, given their passionate week together and their undeniable chemistry. After all, there are other (less infuriatingly sexy) law professors on campus. But to accomplish her goal and get her father out of prison, Thea knows she needs to learn under the best of the best—and that’s Levi Black. But can she learn under the best, without being under the best?

~*EXCERPT*~

All too soon, class was over, and as people left, I found myself unable to move. There was so much that I wanted to say to him.

I stood up, taking a deep breath and hoping to stir up the courage to speak to him, when all of sudden, he walked right past me as if I wasn’t there.

“Levi—”

“It’s Professor Black, and class is over. If you wish to speak to me any time after class you’ll have to call the office and make an appointment. Good day, Ms. Cunning,” he replied, already out the door.

“Asshole,” I murmured under my breath.

But what did I expect? Were we just supposed to laugh it off and pretend like nothing had happened and that everything was okay?”

~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~
I rated Black Rainbow FOUR LEAVES!!

I won't be surprised if this book makes it onto the best-seller lists! This book was recently released on May 15th and I just know that once people start reading this fabulous story, it will be huge!!

Black Rainbow by J.J. McAvoy is about a Harvard Law student, Thea Cunning, and  Professor/Attorney Levi Black's story.  A week after Thea's mother passes away she finds herself in a bar drinking the pain away.  She meets a good-looking guitar playing guy named, Levi. Thea goes home with Levi and as that one night goes by they decided to make a week out of it. No strings attached, then back to reality after the week is over. After the week has passed they both realized they didn't want to the week to end.  Levi Black is a high-profile lawyer and a professor at Harvard Law.  To no surprise Thea is enrolled to become a lawyer and she is face-to-face with Professor Black on the first day of classes.

There is only one main reason why Thea wants to become a lawyer; she needs to help her father.  Thea knows if she left the first day of classes she would not be able to become the attorney she needs to be and to help her father out. Levi also tries to intimidate Thea into quitting his class. I loved this story had the forbidden romance going on but that is just a tiny faction to why this book was so amazing.

Thea and Levi try to be grown ups and fight the attraction between them, but it will only take a little time for them both to crack.  There are so many twist and turns in this story; you will not want to put this book down.  There is an underline sense of mystery and suspense along with Levi and Thea's love story. I am not going to get much more into this story because you need to read it for yourself because there are so many layers in this story that I want you to enjoy it as much as I did.

This was the first book I have read by J.J McAvoy and I know this will not be the last. I was not ready for this book to end!! I was not ready to say goodbye to Levi and Thea! As I was reading this book, I felt like I was watching an episode of How To Get Away With Murder! I really enjoyed that we get to experience some of the cases and all the hard work the lawyers have to through.
