Let your hair down,
Caroline, they said. It'll be fun, they said.
I know I've closed
myself off in a major way in the past year, ever since “the incident” where I
messed up my life completely. It's past time I try to live again or just give
up completely. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever done. In
a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I'm standing outside Oren Tenning's
bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is
already raised to knock. My brother would disown me for doing anything with his
best friend, and he'd probably kill Oren. But if I play my cards right, no one
will ever know about this. Not even Ten.
Maybe after tonight,
I’ll finally get over this stupid, irrational crush I hate having on the
biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Or maybe I’ll just end up falling for him even
harder. Maybe I’ll discover there’s so much more to my crude, carefree hunk

“Yo, Ham.
I’m heading out.” He appeared out of nowhere beside me to tap our table and get
his roommate’s attention.
I yelped
because I hadn’t even noticed him moving toward our table. With a low growl, I
scowled at him for startling me...or maybe for leaving now, because that meant
he was still planning on meeting Kelly. The ass.
He met my
gaze and paused. Reading something—though I’m not sure what—from my face, he
leaned close to talk into my ear. “What? You’re not still mad at me for chasing
off that little boy, are you?”
I sniffed
and lifted my chin. “You’re never going let me date anyone without any kind of
interference, are you?”
He watched
me a moment longer, his intent expression harboring all his thoughts. Then he
leaned in again. “How about this? If you ever find anyone good enough for you,
I will step back and let you at him without even a single fuck-off glare in his
direction.” Then he leaned even closer. “Problem is, I don’t think anyone will
ever be good enough for the likes of you, baby doll.”
When he
reached out slowly and caught a tendril of my hair, the achiest look entered
his eyes. He studied the piece of hair he was methodically winding around his
finger, and the way he watched it was just...I knew that look and recognized it
intimately. Every time I saw him, I felt it rising from my own core, wanting,
yet helpless to take.
A shudder
wracked me. Once upon a time I’d told Zoey that if I knew for certain Oren
really, truly liked me—liked me the way I liked him—I wouldn’t let Noel keep us
apart. And I’d meant it.
I still
meant it.
“Even you?”
I asked him.
His eyes
flashed at the question. “Especially me.”

Perfect Ten is book number five in the Forbidden Men Series by Linda
Kage. I have been a fan of this series from the very beginning.
I
love the characters Linda Kage creates with each new installment. I
have enjoyed the new romance of this series, but I also love catching up
on what is happening in the lives of the others!
I
love this group of friends and I feel each book gets better and better!
It's so hard to choose a favorite book, they are all just so wonderful.
Oren
Tenning is the best friend to Noel Gamble, and Caroline Gamble is
Noel's sister. This is the love story between Oren and Caroline. Oren
and Caroline both have a great sense of humor, extremely high sex drives
that is suited for each other, and they have a forbidden love for one
another.
Oren
Tenning or as his friends call him, "Ten", is a man-whore. In the
previous books you just do not know get to know the real Oren. There is
so much hidden about him until his story is told. When Oren went to
college four years go, he would get to have a fresh start and he did not
have to deal with his tragic past from his hometown. Once Oren arrived
at college he started his new journey as a man-whore. When Oren meets
Noel's younger sister he is completely mesmerized by Caroline and he
knows he has to distance himself from her. Oren does not want to mess
up his friendship with Noel. Noel has told Oren multiple times that he
would never be with Caroline. Well, the heart wants what the heart
wants.
Caroline Gamble has had a rough past. We got to know through the eyes of her brother, Noel, in the book of To Professor, with Love. I
just love Caroline! Caroline is the type of girl that once she wants
something, she will try with all her might to get it. She has been
turned down by Oren twice. You would think that would teach her a lesson
to leave him alone but yet again, the heart wants what the heart wants!
(Sing it Selena Gomez!) When an opportunity presents itself, she will
do whatever she can to finally be with Oren even if it could ruin
everything between her brother and Oren. After Caroline proceeds with
her plan, Oren and Caroline start a heated love affair in which
everyones knows but her brother.
I
knew reading this book, I would be laughing all the way through it. I
also didn't know that I would be crying throughout this book too! I
caught myself randomly crying, but don't get me wrong, this book was
also sexy! The first sex scene with Oren and Caroline was just off it's
charts and one of the best sex scenes I have read lately! Oren and
Caroline are a perfectly matched couple and the cast from the previous
book in this story which ends with a wonderful sweet epilogue based five
years in the future!
The next book is about Knox, um, who is Knox and when do I get to get my hands on him?
~*ABOUT THE AUTHOR*~
Linda grew up on a dairy farm in the Midwest as the youngest of eight
children. Now she lives in Kansas with her husband, toddler daughter,
and their nine cuckoo clocks. She works a day job in the acquisitions
department of a university library and feels her life has been blessed
with lots of people to learn from and love. Writing's always been a
major part her world, and she's thrilled to finally share some of her
stories with other romance lovers.
