Faithless Review

Sometimes in the darkness, we find the light. At least the fortunate ones do. For those who don't want to find the light are sometimes forced into it. What do you do when a stranger in the darkness ends up being your savior?
Riley Turner never expected or wanted to see her twenty-first birthday, and she planned not to. Feeling lost and alone her entire life with no one to love or support her, there was never a reason to exist. That was until the stranger who saves her, becomes the one person to show her what life is really about. Riley finds her world being turned upside down and for the first time ever, finds herself wanting to live.
Everything happens for a reason, and sometimes that reason doesn't always make sense, especially when life hasn't always been so kind. Will Riley be able to over come her fears and finally find a reason to live her life, or will she see just how cruel life really can be after believing and taking a chance?

Faithless is a book full of grief, heartache, and depressive thoughts. This book is about fulfilling your dreams and letting go of the darkness that consumes you. Faithless is a story of Riley who has went through a long and difficult journey.  In this story, you will see how she has to overcome so much guilt and learning to enjoy her life and live it to the fullest even though you were not dealt with the cards of live you wish you weren't given. This story is about suicide, sexual abuse, death, murder, depression, trust, and relationships are all topics you will read in this book! Your emotional will be all over the place with this book.

Along with Riley, we meet Tristan.  From the first scene with Tristan, I knew I was in love! He is everything Riley needed without knowing she need it.  Even though Tristan has some demons of his own to face, you find that the two are made for each other.  Another guy comes into Riley's life and his name is London.  I knew from the beginning I was not going to like him.  I mean my heart was set on Tristan! The book is told from both of Riley and Tristan's point of view, and I enjoyed that you as the reader was able to get in their brains and know why they acted like they do.

I thought the ending was a little rush and you can see Riley's life was heading in the right direction.  I also didn't like how we were left questioning about some of the secondary characters. Makes me wonder if there will be a part two of this book?!

Amanda Bennett is by far one of my favorite authors.  As a reader you are captivated by her words and the stories she writes! Can't wait for the next book that she has comes out next!!

Amanda currently lives in Utah with her many men (her husband, two little boys, and two dogs).  She is an avid San Francisco 49ers and Dexter fan. In high school she developed a love for writing and storytelling, and in the past couple years has made it her passion as she just released her ninth book.
Make sure you check out some of Amanda Bennett's other books, as well as their amazing reviews :)
