I rated This Heart of Mine 5 beautiful leaves!! Madison and Kayla's story has come to an end, and in all
actuality, I'm going to miss these characters. I fell right back in love with
this story as if I'd never put the first two books down. The writing was fascinating; you can easily
relate to the characters, the story kept you turning the pages, and there was a
guaranteed happy ending.
This book made me a swooning mess. When we first met
Madison, I knew I was going to love him. He is my lovely cowboy. Both Madison
and Kayla had a lot of growing to do, and two books later, they have changed a
lot. Now Madison has Kayla, and he is willing to protect her from everyone,
including his family. Kayla is the girl that gave meaning to Madison's life and
now they are both in love and facing all of the struggles that life has put in
their path. You could say their love was definitely tested.
I don't want to rant or complain in this review, but I have
to get this off of my chest. I wish that Kayla and Madison just talked through
their issues. It was either Madison making the decisions or vice versa, and I just
wanted to pull my hair out!
In the end, I was so happy to see Madison and Kayla get
their happy ending with an adorable little bundle of joy as an added bonus. This
Heart of Mine is the perfect ending to this trilogy. The story is full
of drama, romance, and a few surprises that keep you guessing. This couple’s
story had me smiling, screaming at my Kindle, in tears, and swooning.
I found myself pressing my hands against the cool glass on my window as I watched her and Cami walking by. I could feel her pull to me. I could feel her heart hurting for me, just as my heart hurt for her. When she glanced up at me, I quickly turned off my light and settled in for a long nights rest. I was overwhelmed with the events of today and yesterday. My life was beginning to get beyond complicated, and I could feel myself getting to the edge of never. Everything inside of me was tellin' me to jump. To just let go and let everyone else deal with the consequences, but I couldn't. I wouldn't in a million years ever put Kayla through that. She deserved me at my best and damn it if I wasn't willing to prove that to her.
