Genre: Contemporary Romance
After a year of partying, Samantha decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.
Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?
Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?
I rated this fabulous book 5 leaves!! Indelible
is about a party girl named Sam, who finds herself pregnant
from a one-night stand. After confronting the father, she learns he wants
nothing to do with her or the baby. Two years later, Sam and Karrie are living
their lives. Sam is ready to graduate school and become a teacher. Being a
single mother, Sam has a difficult time meeting guys. Her girlfriends invite
her out on the town, which is where she meets Judd. A hard working athlete,
Judd has never had to work for female intimacy. At a bar, he spots Sam and is
instantly drawn to her. She intrigues Judd enough to entice him to pursue her.
I have to say, I love Judd! I mean, he is a baseball player,
drives a motorcycle, and has tattoos. I’m totally in love! Yes, he had a bit of
a womanizing past. He isn’t perfect, but he is real. Judd has a big heart and was
great with Sam's daughter (that alone should've sealed the deal). He’s just a
fantastic guy who loves his father. To me, Judd is a real hero when he steps up
to a role he hadn't imagined happening. But you just have to give it to Sam as
a single-mother. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her to have a baby when
she was still in school and a kid herself. Things would have been different, if
she didn't have to go through it by herself.
As this is the first novel I've read by Bethany Lopez, I immediately noticed her strong, unique voice in her writing. It’s gripping, free-flowing, and I found myself devouring it quickly. The character development was great; you really saw the struggles each of the main characters went through. Judd and Sam’s romance was fun to read, because they were so great together. In the end, I really enjoyed this one. It's romantic, but it's also very realistic and relatable.

Bethany Lopez began self-publishing in June 2011. Since then she has published various YA and NA books. She is a lover of romance, family, and friends, and enjoys incorporating those things in what she writes. When she isn't reading or writing, she loves spending time with her husband and children, traveling whenever possible.
