Hopeless Vows by Rachael Duncan Review + Giveaway

~*SYNOPSIS*~
It was a modern take on an arranged marriage that was supposed to lead to my happily ever after. The rules were simple:

1. Marry a complete stranger chosen for you by professionals.
2. Live together as man and wife for eight weeks while cameras record your every move.
3. Make a decision to stay together or get a divorce.
Call me crazy, but I had complete faith in the process, until I saw who was waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
Austin James has never met me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know him. With no other choice, I say my vows and pray I can make it through the next eight weeks. Then I’ll leave. What connects us is my best kept secret, and I’ll protect it at all costs even if that means walking away from the only person I’ve ever cared about.

~*EXCERPT*~
The longer this experiment goes on, the more I fall for him, and the more the deceit eats at me. When I lie awake some nights, it crawls up my body, tickling my skin, reminding me that underneath, I’m a horrible human being. Deceitful. Cowardly. Manipulative. Selfish. All negative adjectives, and all describe me. He’ll never find out, taunts an inner voice. What’s worse is that it also tells me it’s okay to keep this from him. That the two of us can live out this fantasy unscathed and content. As delusional as my inner voice is, I find myself clinging to it like a leech, feasting on the lie.

~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~

Jillian Taylor is twenty-eight and works as a columnist for a fashion magazine.  Jillian past haunts her everyday and decides she needs to stop living in the past and start a new future.  Jillian has been in one failed relationship after another and resorts to applying for a reality show called "First Come Marriages."  The show is about an updated way of arranged marriage. After meeting for the first time at their wedding, the couple starts their married life with the camera around them. After eight weeks they will have to decide if they want to continue their relationship or go through a divorce.

As Jillian begins to walk down the aisle she stops dead in her tracks because she knows who her husband is going to be:  Austin James.  He is part of why she is running from her past and never in her wildest dreams thought she would be matched up with him.

Austin will be your new book boyfriend because he has all the qualities that make for one of the best I have ever read in a book lately.  Austin is funny, sexy, charming, and he adores Jillian so much and invests everything he can to make the relationship work. All through the book you are wondering what is going to happen, what is the secret, and will they work out in the end? This story sucks you in. Leaving you feeling everything that Austin and Jillian are feeling. You are wanting them to have the perfect happily ever after.

This is the first book I have read by Rachael Duncan and it will not to be my last! This book is a FIVE LEAVES review but I wish I could give it more leaves because of how good it is!! I loved Rachel's writing style and how easily everything flows together.  The dialogue is crisp and the setting of the story will transport you seamlessly.  This book gives you all the feels from the heartwarming to gut-wrenching.  To say I was shocked by the secret is an understatement, I would have never imagined what had happen to Austin and Jillian. It was amazing and I loved how the story played out!!
