Julianna Grimaldi is the physical therapist for the Denver Broncos and has heard all about the one and only Luke Wellington. Having witnessed his destruction first hand, she is immune to all of his charm and charisma, or at least that’s what she thinks. Trying with all her might to spare her heart she resists Luke at every turn, but eventually he tears down her walls and makes her see that there may be more to the Denver Playboy than meets the eye. The question remains though, will Luke fall back on old habits and break Julianna’s heart or will he finally meet his match and find love.

“So, what’s the deal with you and Juli?” He asked with a critical eye. Instinctively, I took a step back. I’d already been hit once in Julianna’s honor, and I wasn’t in the mood for another punch. “Um, we are more like friends, I guess?” I could hear the shake in my voice as I responded. Suddenly, getting lost in Maryland seemed like a fine idea. “Look, I know your type. You are all good-looking-Rico-Suave, and you take nice girls like Juli for a ride and break their heart. Now don’t get me wrong, she is tough, but she is still your normal woman who is hoping to save the bad boy.” “I’m the bad boy.” I said it more like a statement of agreement than questioning his judgment. We’d already proven that, I thought, as memories of her body bending at my will and her soft cries and moans ringing in my ears as she clenched the bed sheets flooded my mind. “It’s too late, isn’t it?” he asked, his body tensing up as he stared into my eyes. “Um, well, you see, what had happened was—” You know, it doesn’t matter if you expect it to come. When someone cocks his arm back and brings it hurtling toward your face, there isn’t much chance of avoiding it. Chris was a lefty, and damn, did he pack a punch.

It's no secret. Luke Wellington is not my favorite book boyfriend. Luke played Brooke and Savannah in Hourglass. In Hourglass Cubed he gets his own story and gets points for being my next book boyfriend!  Luke really redeemed himself in this book and I loved it so much!! 

Luke Wellington is a confirmed bachelor. Luke was once engaged and since that did not work out, it changed him.  He is a natural flirt and a charmer that makes all the girls go crazy.  He makes no apologizes for himself and he knows just who he is.  The girls that he gets together with know what they are getting into; they know they are in for a good time and they do not get their hopes set for anything more. Luke changes his way when he meets the lovely Julianna Grimald. 

Julianna Grimald works as a physical therapist for the Denver Broncos and has heard all their is know about the one and only Luke! Julianna was there to witness first hand what he did to both Brooke and Savannah.  One day Julianna runs into Luke and everything is about to change for the both of them.  Julianna knows he is the infamous Denver playboy and wants to run as far as she can away from him. Julianna knows his reputation to love and then leave them. Luke and Julianna have a connection that cannot be denied.   Luke shows her how amazing they could be together. 

Luke and Julianna are a great couple and they compliment each other well. I loved how Julianna is feisty and could go toe to toe with Luke.  Luke enjoys that Julianna is blunt with him. 

What does this mean?  

He does something to know that he can't stop just being with her one time and he wants her forever. But Luke is not the forever guy.  

In the book you will find Julianna understands him like no other woman and watching the development of their relationship is so touching. 

I absolutely loved this book. The writing is great and I was easily swept away in their story. I am very excited to know the next book is about Caleb, Luke's brother, who is just hilarious!! He made me laugh out loud in this book! 

I was basically highlighting this book like crazy, it had so many quotes that I need to share with you! 

 

"Flowers aren't Band-Aids. They don't fix your screw-ups. When you broke a toy, did glue make it all better?"

"Tell you that I am madly in love with you.  That you drive me crazy as I think of you.  That you are the air in my lungs, the blood in my veins, my life.  Is that what you wanted me to tell you, Julianna Grimald?"
