Review: Offside by Shay Savage

~*Synopsis*~
I have to be the best. I am the best. I’m quick. I’m strong. I’m smart. I’m the star keeper of my high school soccer team, and I’ve got major leagues scouting me. As their captain, my teammates will do anything I say – on or off the field. Girls practically beg to be added to my list of conquests. As long as I manage to go pro for the best team in the world, I won’t have to worry about my father’s wrath.

I’m Thomas Malone, and I’ve seen to it that the world revolves around me.

There’s a new girl at school, and it’s just a matter of time before she gives in to my charm. This one’s just a little more stubborn than most – she won’t even tell me her name! She’s smart, too. Maybe too smart. I can’t let her in. I can’t let anybody in. I’m not too worried, but even I have to admit she’s interfering with my focus on the goal.
Dad’s not going to be happy about that.

Did I mention I love Shakespeare? Yeah, I know. I’m a walking contradiction. According to the Bard, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” Somehow, I got all three.

Now how is anyone supposed to live up to that?

I rated Offside by Shay Savage FIVE LEAVES!!

I love Shay Savage's books, they are always what I'm looking for in a romance story: alpha male, steamy, passionate, and emotional with unique story lines. This book is all about emotions.  My heart broke for these characters and what they had to go through.  The book had uplifting emotions that captured my heart completely and showed me an amazing story of second chances at life, love, and hope.

As with other Shay books, it is told from the male's POV.  The story is about Thomas Malone. He is the guy that every guy wants to be and the guy that every girls wants to be with. Thomas really has only one goal in life: to be a professional soccer player. When you look at Thomas you believe he has all.  The good looks, the money, but if you look closer he is just a tortured soul. Thomas' mother passed away when he was younger and since then it has just been him and his Dad.  He wants to make his dad proud and wants to be the best he can be for him. As Thomas runs his high school; his father runs the town.  He does not want to disappoint his dad. Everything is going great for him until he meets the new girl in school, Nicole.  Nicole has seen his type before and she wants to stay away from him.  Little does Nicole know her world will turn upside down being with Thomas.  Nicole is perfect for Thomas and I loved Nicole as a character.  She is strong and just what Thomas needs in life

I loved Thomas' transformation in this book.  In the beginning of the book, he is a complete asshole.  Thomas is quick tempered and if you messed with him or someone close to him, he would competently ruin your life.  At the end of the book, he is changed into a strong character.  By all means, he is not perfect, but he definitely improved and became a better person, all because of love.

Another MUST read by Shay Savage! You'll fall hard in love with this unforgettable story for sure!
