Losing your ability to speak at the age of seventeen; it’s not normal or fair.
But trauma, has a way of throwing normality out the window.
Dani lives anything but a normal life.
Her sister is married to one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Her best friends are rockstar duo AD2.
And she has more love around her than most people experience in a lifetime.
But that doesn't change the fact their parents are dead.
Or that it's her fault.
It seems her new normal is being a mute, living on the inside, unable to actually communicate on the outside.
That is until Hollywood’s newest heartthrob Lincoln Greene hires her as his assistant for the summer.
He's gorgeous, completely unavailable, and unobtainable.
But that doesn't stop her from wondering...if things were different...would he want her?
If she was whole, would he be the other half?
~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~
Capture is standalone book from the Seaside series. Seaside stories is one of my favorite series. I love the characters Rachel Van Dyken created and with this new book. I have enjoyed not only the story of Dani and Lincoln, but I also loved catching up on the lives of the others. Even if you have not read the previous installments in the Seaside series you will not be distracted or confused by the secondary characters back stories because the plot and everything comes to making a FIVE LEAVES review in my opinion. You will fall in love with Lincoln and feel like Dani is your long lost best friend.
In the Fall we meet Priscila and her sister, Dani. Hands down... Fall is one of my favorite books because of the oh so sexy, Jaymeson. I was so heart broken for Dani and Pris because of the lost of their parents in a car accident. Dani was in the car along with her parents and the soul survivor. I am so glad that Dani had got this book to tell her story after reading the Fall. Dani was so traumatized after the months it happened and the panic attacks that she kept having caused her to be mute. With everyone worrying about Dani, her brother-in-law Jaymeson decides it would helpful for her to do something besides watching TV and laying around the house. Jaymeson will be filming a new movie in Seaside, Oregon and her new job will be the lead actor's, Lincoln Greene, assistant.
Lincoln is a twenty-two year old actor in the film portraying a member of AD2. He is the brother to Angelica and we have meet her in the Seaside series before. Lincoln is such a cocky jokester but is an all-around great guy. With Dani being his personal assistant, they never thought the impact they would have on each other lives. With Dani and Lincoln spending so much time together he is able to put up with her sassyness and helping her in ways she needed from someone who would be there for in many ways.
I loved how Rachel Van Dyken was able to turn a serious issue into a beautiful story that brought awareness for people who are mute. I enjoy this story so much that I was laughing and smiling throughout the story.
I have enjoyed and loved all of the Seaside books. Each book has touched me in a different way. I am the type that could never pick a favorite. Lincoln and Dani's story took me somewhere different. The series is superb. I loved catching up with all the characters and seeing where they are in their relationships. There is a ton of humor, some sexiness, and some tears. Oh and there is Zane... read this book... he is so mouth watering! :)
