“Tonight
is about us, no one else, and that’s the way I want it to stay. No more
interruptions,” Derek said.
I
took a deep breath and reached for my wine. I wasn’t going to let my brain jump
to conclusions. This weekend was about us. Not Taylor. Not Reed. “I agree.”
He
leaned into the table, his hand moving higher up my leg. “Kiss me.”
We
weren’t in a back booth, and this restaurant wasn’t nearly as private as The
Hole. There were more servers, a more open floor plan, many other tables close
by. What he was asking for was much more than the peck I had given him before
I’d gone to the bathroom. “Those fingers,” I said, placing my hand on top of
them, “aren’t planning on going any higher, are they?”
He
licked his bottom lip, teasing me with just the swipe of his tongue and the
whiskers that surrounded it. “They weren’t, no. But now that I know it’s on
your mind, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop them.”

conclusion
in this series but I am going to miss the sexy Mr. Block. I am also so
excited for the series to end to find out all the Derek's secrets! I
also want to add that the new book covers are just HOT!!
This installment in the Timber Towers serial is by far my favorite!! Marni
Mann exceed her writing talent to give us an astonishing book!! The
sex scenes are the hottest ever, the writing is incredible as Frankie
finds her balance between work and Derek. Book number four gets us
closer to the last episode, which means there is little mystery left but
so much more information as a reader you are wanting to know!
This
story picks up where episode three left off; Frankie dealing with work
and seeing if she can have a life without Derek and Derek being attacked
by Reed. Derek knows without a doubt he will do whatever is needed to
be with Frankie. Derek will fight the fight with Reed in order to move
him out of the picture with Frankie. Frankie has found the perfect guy.
But she is fighting the feelings with doing what is right between her
and her job. In this book and in the previous books we know there is
someone in Derek's past that doesn't want Derek to have what he wants in
his life, his uncle, Randy. We know that Randy has done something in
the past that wrecked Derek's life. Now Derek and his sister are on
their mission to destroy him.
I
loved how Derek was so vulnerable in this book and he was letting
Frankie in as much as he could without his feelings being too exposed.
In a short sentence to recap this book we find out about Derek's past
and his revenge plans against his uncle and his need to find the balance
between protecting himself and letting Frankie all the way in. Frankie
is giving it up to Derek and the ball is now in his court on what to
do.
