~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~
I love everything about this book!! This book is wonderful! This
is one of my top favorites of the year! I would recommend this book to my future
daughter, my sister, my best friend, a person that is skinny or curvy, a person
that has a big nose or a person that has pimples. This book is for every woman in the world who has insecurities.
I
do not even know how to start this review without grabbing for my
Kleenexes. Not because this book is sad but because this book made me
feel so many emotions and made me feel so connected to Tori, the female
character in this book. The author grabbed me from the first page until
the last page page of epilogue. I finished this book in one setting. I
couldn't put it down. Even if Justin Timberlake came in dancing in front
of me, I would have stayed glued to the book. I was THAT hooked!!
This
book is about eighteen year old, Tori, who lacks self-confidences. Tori
has always wanted attention from her parents and a special guy. Tori
does not like herself at all; she wants to change her looks and the way
she acts so she can fit in and get a boyfriend. Hanging out with her
brother Jim and his friends, she wants to be show she is not a little
girl anymore and she is ready to change. Even if she makes stupid
mistakes.
One of Jim's friend, Grant, notices how the other guys see her and how
she sees herself. He wants to help her anyway he can as a friend. Grant
and Tori spend a week together just doing friend stuff, like watching
Netflix. At the end of the week, they go their separate ways to college.
Once Tori goes to college she meets her roommate Kenna,
who is everything she wishes she could look like and who she wants to
be. Kenna wants to help her gain her self-confidence and as the book
goes on you will see that two help each other out in the end. Grant and
Tori's relationship is heart-breaking. It made Tori want to be something
else. In the end, Tori has to decide what makes her happy. Tori and
Grant will have their reunion seeing each other again. But does Grant
like the new Tori and will Tori forgive him for what he did to her?
Those are some questions that I know you will want to read this book to
find the answers.
I
have struggled with my self-esteem issues for as long as I can
remember. I just want everyone that reads this review to know that you
are beautiful!! God has made you to be one of a kind. Think of how lucky
you are to be chosen by him to be on displayed for the world and for
HIM to see you!!! This story is about accepting who you are and what you
have been dealt with in life and how you want to live your life.
