~*REVIEW BY ELYSSA*~
As anyone who's read Louise Bay reviews on this blog knows, I love Louise Bay. As a rule, I am firmly grounded in reality, hate drama, and am generally one of those picky stick-in-the muds that get caught up in the reality of a situation. It's because I'm not a romantic. I mean, part of me must be, because I read romance novels and review them for a blog.... but for the most part I'm not. But Louise Bay books always make me forget that. They're dramatic, romantic, and I adore them to pieces.

The Calling Me Back series is getting four and a half leaves!

Luke and Ash's story is the one I've been waiting for. Seriously. It's been teased before and I have been WAITING (and not very patiently, because patience is not my strong suit). Ash has been in love with Luke for approximately forever. And why wouldn't she be? He's like the proverbial hooker with a heart of gold, except he's the alpha male with a heart of gold and a sweetheart to boot that loves family and spending time with his sister (seriously, swoon). Problem? He's had a steady girlfriend for the past couple years, and now that they've broken up, he's spinning a bit. Until Ash walks in. Or, more like he finally opens his eyes and realizes Ash has been there all along. She's his best friend... and maybe she should be more than that.

While Luke finally (finally) realizing that she's a woman and not just his sister's best friend, she's worried that Luke's just on the rebound--after all, feelings as strong as his don't just crop up that fast after he's just gotten out of a committed relationship, right? Wrong. But she doesn't know that, which is the beginning of their struggle. After all, is it really a good romance novel if there's not a little struggle? I digress.

As any good Louise Bay reader will know, some pretty serious drama ensues (I won't give anything away, because that would be telling), but needless to say, if you're anything like me, you'll maybe want to cry a little, but only for a moment--because the ending is super sweet. Overall, I loved this story--it's wonderful to watch a writer grow and improve with each passing story, and this series is absolutely no different--it's bigger, it's better, and I still can't wait to read the next one. As always, pick this series up, folks! Read a segment a day--stay up late trying to get past those cliffhangers, like I did.

~*ABOUT THE AUTHOR*~
USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series and What the Lightning Sees. The novels and together each series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
