Twisted Desire by Laura Dunaway Review

She woke in the dark. The sharp surge and sway of her world the only hints she has of her surroundings.

Penelope Santoro is alone, trapped in an empty room of what could only be a boat in the middle of a rough ocean. With no recollection of how she got there, and no escape in sight, she's quickly losing hope that she will ever find her way home.

Tag Reynolds is detached. His life depends upon it. But when the beautiful daughter of one of his biggest rivals winds up in his care, his entire world shifts. Drawn to her innocence, he desperately fights the feelings he can't have...feelings that could destroy everything he's worked for.

Penny is nothing more than a pawn in a deadly game -- a game that Tag cannot afford to lose. Can he save her without compromising his position, or will they become victims of their twisted desire?

I rated Twisted Desire by Laura Dunaway FOUR AND ONE HALF leaves!!

This story is about Penelope "Penny" Santoro after she wakes up from being kidnapped.  Just as Penny, the readers are left in the dark to why she wakes up in the middle of the ocean on a yacht.  Penny is afraid and scared because she has no idea why anyone would want to do this to her.  Penny is a strong character, with a touch of naiveness but she is fighter.  We learn that Penny is kidnapped by her father's rival, Roman Vitale, the head of a huge drug cartel.

Tag Reynolds is assigned to "babysit" Penny on the yacht.  This is where the title comes into play: Twisted Desire.  Spending months together, Tag and Penny start to have a connection.  Tag has the biggest heart and I was so surprised to witness that in this book.  He knows that Penny is terrified and he does his best to make her feel safe.  I mean, if I ever get kidnapped I would hope that my abductor would be as sexy and nice as Tag!! Without spoiling this book, there are so many unexpected twists and turns!! This book is packed full of suspense, mystery, and let's not forget about the hot sexy time; but mostly a huge strong love story underlying it all.
Laura Dunaway has been married to her prince for 18 years and together they are raising three amazing kids. While she's always had a passion for reading and writing, it wasn't until a few years ago that she finally realized she should pursue her dream of writing and publishing a book. After many many attempts at starting one, her first book, Distorted, was finally the one that flowed and before she knew it, she'd written The End. Discovering Lucy is her second book and she is currently at work on her third.
