The Dirty Dozen, Part I

You're probably wondering..."How does she have time to read all of these books?"

I don't. I have a sink/cabinets full of decomposing, food-filled dishes, and I am currently in the running for the 'Tallest Mound of Trash Ever Stacked in the Trashcan' contest. The laundry basket has exploded and there are weeks of fallen-out hair on the bathroom floor. I also don't sleep, which leads me to my exclaimer.

If you stay up reading until sunlight floods in through the windows, and your phone reads 6:00 a.m. with your alarm going off in one hour to get ready for work....DON'T START THIS LIST!

If you are as annoyingly obsessed with reading one more chapter just because they teased the first sex scene at the end of the last, stay tuned...

1-3. Fifty Shades of Grey-Darker-Freed

Why not start The Dirty Dozen list off with the most talked about "mommy-porn" book on the market? Filled with BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Dominance/submission, and Sadomasochism) overtones, it even made this nasty-minded girl blush. I've never thought I would be interested in this type of sex in my own life, but that could just be because I haven't had the washboard ab, billionaire, bad-boy-with-too-many-issues-turned-good, Christian Grey walk into my life.
This story takes bending over and having your pony pulled to a whole new level. To be even more brutally honest, I had to stop in the middle of the first book to "take care of business". This book is hot. My suggestion...grab your significant other (flavor of the week/night), read the dirty scenes to together, and star in the remake ;-) ;-).
If you have already read this series, here's a little funny for you. Enjoy.

4. Bared To You (A Crossfire Novel)

If you have just finished the Fifty Shades Series, The Crossfire Series should be your next literature adventure. With many similarities to Fifty, it provides a nice transition with bonuses, such as a much better writing style, character depth, and more of a BDSM undertone. Maybe because I was so used to Fifty, this story didn't seem as raunchy to me, but I loved Eva and Gideon's sex scenes just as much as Ana and Christian's.

Now is the time to get involved with this story, because the second installment, Reflected in You, releases on October 2, with the third rumored to release in January 2013.

 5. Beautiful Disaster

I can't tell you how much I love this book! I love it so much I thought about putting it at the top of the list, but I didn't because they are listed in order of how I read them.

I read this book three time in a row. Ridiculous, I know.

Here is why it is amazing...

-The author is from Blackwell, OK, but lives in Enid.
-She started as a self-published author.
-The story takes place in a small, Oklahoma, college town. Which, for all of you who are from the same Alma mater as me, you will love it. It makes the story all the more real when you can relate on a location aspect.
-The female lead, Abby Abernathy, is not annoying.
-The male lead is the tatted-up, campus man-whore; undefeated, underground, fighting champion; sex on a stick, Travis Maddox.
-The story is on the verge of book-to-screen. EEK!

Travis and Abby's story is absolutely irresistible. You will be sucked up in a tornado of love angst, jealousy, fighting, gambling, the list goes on. It's pretty hard not to want to see the ladies man fall in love and get his heart broken for the first time.

Walking Disaster, Beautiful Disaster written from Travis's POV (point of view), is set to be released April 16, 2013.

6. Easy

http://tammarawebber.blogspot.com/
Easy is an afternoon read, a light romantic college-age tale. The female lead, Jacqueline, is dumped by her long-time boyfriend and assaulted by her ex's frat ass friend, who walks the stalker line. All this sadness is nulled by the presence of a brooding and delicious guy in the back of her macroeconomics course, coupled with e-mail flirting sessions with the course's T.A. In the midst of Jacqueline's relationship with the two new guys, a twist occurs and BLOWS YOUR MIND (just kidding...you see it coming a mile away. Maybe that's why it's called Easy.) Webber's story is a fun, predictable read but interesting enough to keep you hooked.
