In Dreams Review

In Dreams
Author: James Eddy
Genre: New Adult Romance

"Imagine things and make them real."
When Oliver Bell meets a beautiful young woman one night in his dreams, he literally can't get her out of his mind. Unfortunately, he also can't tell if she's anything more than just a wonderful figment of his imagination. It's only when she starts leaving him clues for how to find her in the real world that Oliver's sense of fantasy and reality begin to blur into something strange and new.
The journey that follows takes Oliver everywhere he can imagine and beyond; across the country to a city he doesn't know, to things from his terrible past he would rather forget; over concrete and bluebells and snow and ice; all leading him to the truth that love can exist in dreams.

"Imagine it, imagine things and make real."
I rated In Dreams Three & One Half Leaves! Oliver Bell lives a mundane life, fulfilling only the basic necessities: work, eat, and sleep. When Oliver sleeps, he has very vivid dreams of a girl he has never met. This "dream girl" provides him with clues to find her in reality. Oliver takes a leap of faith by giving in to the clues and begins his search.

"When people meet in dreams, it's because they're meant to get to know them."
This novella was entertaining and enjoyable. I am a firm believer in signs and dreams. If you feel as though you are being called towards something, you need to take the initiative and not wait for it to show up at your feet. Oliver is a relatable character. I see myself in him when he is trying to find the girl in his dream. I dream of a guy(s), and I wish it was as easy as this book to find him! The pace of the book was fast moving, since this is a novella. It was short and too the point. I enjoyed the author's writing style, and I can see myself reading more from this author! If you are a dreamer, this book is for you!

James Eddy was born in Braintree, Essex in April 1980. After moving first to Colchester, Essex, the family settled in South Norfolk and James was able to enjoy the wide open spaces and quiet of the area which fed his imagination. Following an undistinguished University career, he began writing scripts for films and acting out the cliche of the drunken writer. He diversified by moving into prose and eventually focussed enough to write a collection of Short Stories called 'Diamonds'. His most recent release is the Novella 'In Dreams' and a Novel called 'The Dark Era' is set to be released at the beginning of 2014.
