Lauren broke off an engagement with her old boyfriend because she caught him cheating on her.  She's finally ready to move on, but work has been keeping her too busy.
Marcus is a player, never settling down with one girl.  No one seems to meet his long list of requirements in a woman.
Marcus and Lauren have worked for the same company for years, but in locations across the country from each other.  They've been flirting for months.  When they are in the same city for a conference, they spend a few passionate days together, both assuming this is just a fling.  Once they each get home though, they realize they want more.  Can they make a long distance relationship work?  And when Lauren's old boyfriend come back to win her affection, can Marcus compete with their history?

Lauren’s POV
The ten minute cab ride home seemed never ending tonight. What should I wear? Should I change into some sexy lingerie?  Light some candles?  My mind was going a million miles an hour as I looked out the window.
When it finally pulled up in front of my building, I quickly ran inside.  I got on the elevator, watching as the numbers changed until it reached my floor.  I got my keys out of my purse as the door opened and walked to my apartment door.  I’d just left Marcus but I already missed him and couldn’t wait to see him.
I flicked on the lights in my apartment as I walked inside and kicked off my shoes.  It felt good to get my heels off after wearing them all day long.  I went into the bathroom to check my hair and make up when my phone rang.  I glanced down at it and rolled my eyes when I saw it was Kyle.  Wonder what he wants?  I ignored his call, letting it go to voicemail.  I was in too good of a mood and wasn’t going to let talking to him ruin it.  If it was important enough, he could leave a message.
I turned off the light and was about to go change when I heard a knock on the door.  My heart started pounding in my chest. I had no idea why I was so nervous. We’d seen each other all day and spent the previous night together. Maybe because now it was reaching a more personal level since Marcus was going to be at my home.  I checked myself one last time in the mirror before walking over to open the door.
I barely had a chance to turn the knob before he flew into my apartment. His eyes were dark as he grabbed my arms and spun me around, pressing me up against the door. He fisted a hand in my hair and pulled my head back with a jerk. Bending down, his lips traveled from my ear and down my neck, pausing to nibble a little with the edge of his teeth.
He sucked in his breath and pressed his forehead against mine. “Fuck, Lauren, I hated watching you talk to those other men tonight.” He turned his head and bit my earlobe gently, eliciting a moan from me. “And the way my boss looked at you,” he muttered in my ear. “I wanted to punch him.”
I had no idea where this possessive man had come from, but I loved it. He released my hair and reached down, grabbing my blouse with both hands. “You’re mine,” he growled and pulled my shirt
apart, the buttons flying to the floor.

I rated Finally four leaves, because it was an entertaining read. I did feel as though the storyline could have had more depth. I understand Finally is a novella, but I still felt like the storyline and the character backgrounds could have been expanded. With that being said, Finally was a enjoyable, quick read! Lauren and Marcus have sexual tension from the very beginning of the book, which always sets up a fun and flirty story. The two main characters live in different cities but have been co-workers and flirting buddies for quite some time. Throw in a cheating ex-boyfriend who wants a second chance and things get interesting!
