The Anatomy of Jane by Amelia LeFay Blitz

AnatomyofJane2
The Anatomy of Jane by Amelia LeFay WJM #1
Publication Date: May 31, 2016
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Erotic, Romance

  ~*SYNOPSIS*~
Jane I’ve always been on my own. My life used to consist of nothing but work, keeping Allen out of trouble, and if I had time, sleep. Then I became their maid. Max Every day more than half a million people tune in to watch my show. They trust me. I know it’s because I’m the only son of the prominent Emerson family. However, I like to believe it because I’m honest no matter what story I report on. I’m honest about everything but the man I’ve been f**king for the last four years… and now her. Wesley I want three things: First, Maxwell Emerson and Jane Chapman both in my bed. Second, to be the best bloody chef in the country. Third, to figure out how to simultaneously get the first and second things I want without any of us getting hurt. THREE PEOPLE. ONE LOVE STORY….

  ~*ABOUT THE AUTHOR*~
Amelia LeFay is a character of my own imagination. She’s a single woman in her mid twenties in love with sex. Dirty sex, rough sex, sex of any type. She’s not a whore or a slut. She believes a woman should be aloud to sexually express herself anyway she wishes. She stands for Gay Rights, Women’s Rights, the rights of Minorities, and Environmental protection. She can be a bitch but doesn’t think there is anything wrong with that. She has uneven boobs, stretch marks on her ass, astigmatism, and thighs that rub together as she walks. (Which means no pair of jeans last as long as she wishes they would.)
But most importantly Amelia is a Dreamer…she has dreams so big it scares even her, because if she fails…if she can’t make it…she feels like nothing.

The Slam by Haleigh Lovell Release Blitz + Review

~*SYNOPSIS*~
From the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author, Haleigh Lovell, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

His best strokes can be found off the court.

Ender Hemsworth has been called many things:
A Cock on Legs.
Captain of Sigma Chi.
Big man on campus.
Star athlete at UC Berkeley.
And he's always scowling like someone just took a piss in his Cheerios.

Adelaide Vikander has been called one thing:
Twenty Types of Trouble.
And she likes to take the proverbial ‘piss’ in Ender’s Cheerios.

When they’re forced to live together off campus, sparks fly and panties drop.
Will Ender, the cold and unfeeling ‘Cock on Legs’ grow a torso, a head, and a warm, beating heart?

THE SLAM is a sexy and flirty New Adult Sports Romance that will make you laugh, make you wet, and warm your heart.

~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~

I am a huge fan of Haleigh Lovell’s writing and I am happy to let everyone know that she doesn’t disappoint in The Slam! I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Ender Hemsworth and Adelaide Vikander.  Not only did I love Ender and Adelaide but every other character in the book. The humor of this story...the ending…it was perfect and I really can’t wait for the next book to come out! I am dying to see what craziness Adelaide can get herself into!

The Slam can be described in a different ways such as a romantic-comedy with a underlining sports theme.  Ender and Endric Hemsworth are the big guys on campus. They are dreamy tennis pros that decided to go to college instead of becoming pro right out of high school. They are having the time of their lives, then a girl from their past starts to live with them and everything that Ender once was used to will be changed forever.

Adelaide Vikander is childhood friends of Ender and Endric as they would come to visit family in Australia.  Ender and Endric remember Adelaide as a tomboy but when she comes to live with them, it is not what they remember as their time as children.  They always thought Adelaide was a little different and find out she has Asperger’s.

The book is told in Dual Pov, but let me just say that I freaking loved Adelaide! I loved being inside of her mind and knowing what she is thinking. She always had me laughing out loud with her witty comebacks.  Adelaide is taken under Ender’s wings to help her adjust to America and the culture. It doesn’t take long that the two to start having romantic feelings for each other.

I was seriously left high and dry with the ending. It was a great ending but I wanted more! I wanted to keep reading about Ender and Adelaide and it makes me excited to know we might get more of the both of them.  If we get to read about Endric, I would be completely okay with that too because he sounds like my kind of book boyfriend!

~*EXCERPT*~
I smiled at him and tried to say something, all while getting up from the bench, but he had other ideas in mind. Just as I was standing up, he leaned down to kiss me. I don’t know how we didn’t slam into each other, because his kiss surprised me. I was trying to reciprocate it, but I lost my balance, falling backwards. I tried to hold on to him, grabbing the lapels of his jacket and ending up making him fall on top of me. My head hit the floor, and the legs of the bench screeched loudly as I fell and involuntarily pushed it aside.
And now I was lying on the floor of a closed music store, in the middle of the night, with Lou Rivers plastered on top of me.
Hysteria took the place of embarrassment, and I started laughing uncontrollably, my laughter vibrating through our bodies. Lou eased himself up on top of me, but didn’t get up; he merely adjusted his weight so he wouldn’t be pressing on me as much.
“Shhhh,” he fought a smile, “Ian is going to kick us out. Keep it quiet. Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked, trying to caress the back of my head to see if I was hurt.
“Leave it to me to do something like that,” I said, the laughter finally subsiding. I exhaled deeply and looked at his face. “Pretty sure Ian will not let us do this again anytime soon,” I laughed.
“Probably not,” he whispered, “but we are here now,” he added, and the southern drawl made an appearance once again. I loved when that happened. It made it impossible to resist him.
We were almost in complete darkness, but there was some light from a back window coming in. It made Lou’s eyes look gray instead of green. “I never made love by lantern shine”, I thought, singing in my head the song he played for me earlier that day.
“I thought we agreed we weren’t going to kiss anymore,” I whispered.
“That was your decision. How’s that working out for you, by the way?” he asked with a smile, staring at my lips, grinding his hips ever so gently against me. He knew how to tempt me. Nerves fired up in my belly and suddenly I couldn’t think. He stared at me, waiting for an answer.
“It was…working out okay.”
“And now?”
“Now I’m not so sure anymore.”
He lowered his head and kissed me, this time taking it slowly, using the position to his advantage. He placed soft kisses on my mouth, and when my lips parted, he wrapped his tongue around mine, cradling my jaw, bringing it up to him. His kisses were deep and hungry, nipping at my bottom lip from time to time. They left me breathless, and when he looked at me as if asking for permission to continue, my heart felt like it was going to explode. He was beautiful, but it was more than that. It was something more between us. I felt like he was the only one who understood me, like he and I were in our own world even when we were in a room full of people. Most times, it seemed he knew how I felt, with just a look. The way his kisses branded my skin, had me realizing it was much more than purely physical pleasure. I had never felt like this with anyone before. Was this love? Fuck, I was falling in love with him. Oh, what a stupid, stupid notion. You’re going to get hurt, I told myself, and surprisingly, I didn’t care anymore. Getting hurt was going to be worth all of this.
Suddenly, it seemed like my hands had a mind of their own. They started exploring his body, everywhere, squeezing his butt, running up his back, and making their way down to his erection, large and arousing. My mouth couldn’t get enough of him either, kissing every inch of his face and neck. The low growl coming out of his mouth told me he quite enjoyed handsy Ella. His hand made its way under my sweater, caressing my skin, before traveling south of my navel, inside my yoga pants. My back arched, and a moan escaped me at the touch of his long, skilled fingers. He moved slightly to my side, giving me room to part my legs and grant him better access. In between choked moans and heavy breathing, our eyes locked. He seemed as focused as ever on the task at hand. His thumb pressed and circled and teased my clit while his index and middle finger made their way in and out of me. I hadn’t forgotten about him, and I wanted to go further than rubbing my hand on him through his jeans, but he stopped me when I tried to undo his belt, pointing at the ceiling and telling me to be quiet. His fingers were working me faster and faster, and I rocked against his hand, chasing the crescendo that would tip me over the edge. He urged me to be quiet, but there was only so much I could do to contain the strangled cry of pleasure coming out of my mouth. He kissed my lips softly, encouraging me to let go. The orgasm unraveled through me like waves, my pounding heart loud in my ears. When I opened my eyes again, he was watching me, a soft and amused look in his eyes. Still panting, I pulled him down to me to kiss him stupid, but he ended up bumping into the piano bench. It made the same screeching noise again, and I barely had time to press my lips to his before we were both laughing, unable to keep quiet any longer. A noise from upstairs startled us, and we quickly disentangled, got up and straightened our clothes.
We left the store running like thieves, laughing and kissing all the way home.

Barreling out of her apartment in black leggings and a white tank that accentuates those perfect breasts I’m thinking this run, may be the death of me. I already want to trail my hands along the smooth curves of her hips and take those tight black pants right off her body. My breath gets shallow as I near her, my body reacting to what she does to me. She seems tense, worried about something as I approach. Her top lip is securely hidden under her straight white bottom teeth and she’s eyeing me as I walk toward her. “Loosen up, Addison. I’m not going to bite.” Running my hand along her ponytail, I give it a slight tug before heading down the stairs, assuming she’ll follow. “Unless of course you ask me to.” I’m at the bottom of the staircase stretching, and she’s still waiting up top. Where’s the playful girl from ten minutes ago? “You coming?” Whatever had been bothering her seems to vanish as she puts her smile back on and bounces down to me. “Not yet,” she mumbles as she descends the stairs. It’s clear she was talking to herself, not realizing that her double meaning was loud and echoing in my own ears. I instantly get a semi erection at the image of those intense eyes glossing over in ecstasy, her lips parted and my name falling off her tongue. Standing close, she places a hand on my shoulder for support as she grabs her foot to stretch. Her head is right under my chin, her soft scent surrounding me. Gently I hold onto her arms and keep her steady as she changes legs. The urge to lean down and kiss her overwhelms me as I hold her delicate shoulders, her bottom lip secure under her front teeth. She’s stunning; her long dark hair is pulled back, her eyes deep in concentration on what she’s doing. I want to tell her how beautiful she is, caught up in this moment with her. The words are on the tip of my tongue when she steps back and pats my ass, taking off at a slow jog. I smile to myself and watch her from behind. Next time she touches my ass, I’m kissing her, no questions asked. She’s keeping up with me stride for stride as we take off down the beach path. Her breath is coming in gasps, and a sheen of sweat has begun beading on her forehead. I’m barely breaking a sweat, but I’ll get my workout in tomorrow morning at the track, or if I’m lucky, maybe tonight between my sheets. Looking down at her from the corner of my eye, I’m happy to see that she’s now more relaxed. “How’s the girlfriend search?” I almost trip on that damn tree root. “In progress.” “That doesn’t answer my question.” She’s having a hard time talking, winded from our pace and I think I should speed us up further so she can’t talk at all. “I’m working on a few prospects at the moment. If any of them pan out I’ll let you know.” She rolls her eyes and I want to throw her in the sand and kiss her, make her forget she asked me a question in the first place. “Do you always run at night?” she asks between labored breaths. What’s with the twenty questions? “No. I’m a morning person.” Her eyes dart in my direction, as a curious look crosses her face. “You have a dirty mind, Green Eyes.” Bumping into me, she argues the topic, barely getting her words out she’s straining so hard. “How do you know,” she takes in a big breath, “what was on my mind?” “Everything you think is written all over your face. And for your information, yes, I love the mornings.” She stops mid-stride and bends over in laughter, her arms across her midsection as she tries to catch her breath. Suddenly she’s in the sand not even trying to get a handle on the giggles erupting from the depth of her gut. Sand is in her hair and sticks to the sweat that’s covering her skin. Her cheeks were already a rosy color and now they’re turning bright red. I sit down beside her, my arms propped up on my knees waiting for her to calm down. When she finally gets a handle on herself, she lies flat on her back and stares up at the sky, her eyes suddenly far away, looking like they’re searching for answers to some unasked question. “My ex was a morning person too. I loved it. It’s quiet outside, and still dark in the bedroom. It’s like a secret time where you feel like you’re the only two people on the planet awake and you’re sharing a piece of yourself with each other. A silent communication that only the two of you can understand.” Unexpected sadness washes over me listening to Addison long for a situation that clearly doesn’t exist in her life anymore. Whoever her ex is must be a real asshole. She deserves better than an asshole. She deserves me.

~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~
DASH is one sexy roller coaster ride. It is told in a dual POV and we get to see Tabatha's and Dash's sides.  I love when I read a book in dual POV because you get each person's thoughts and you get to see the pain or the happiness they are feeling right at that moment. I love it as a reader because there are times when I am reading and I am like what is that person thinking. Shantel is a wonderful author and I have loved all that I have read from her.  Her writing is amazing, and no matter the story or genre, Shantel has the ability to build a strong and great connection to her characters.  She could write a color book and I would still think it's amazing!

This is just the book I needed to read right now; bad boy biker with a big heart who is super sexy, plus a feisty single lady fighting to be independent. I hate cliffhangers but it makes me excited for the next books.
Erik Dashling 'Dash' is a reckless bad boy who is has been in trouble with the law a time or two; speeding and just being reckless.  When he is booked into jail for speeding and not pulling over for the police, he thinks this may be the time his father will not be able to bail him out.  Instead, he gets the opportunity of a lifetime of his dream job racing motorcycles, something he is very good at.
To celebrate his new job he throws a party and meets Tabatha Knight. Dash has one look at Tabatha and knows she is going to be his girl. He will do anything in his power to have her. Tabatha and Dash have a sexy one night stand and she plans to never see Dash again...until she sees him the next day at her house.  Dash's new boss is Tabatha's father.  Tabatha is recently single from a toxic relationship.  She wants to enjoy being single and free from her ex. She does not want anyone in her way until she has her head on straight and gets over her overprotective crazy ex.  Dash has other plans for her and he plans to keep her around for awhile.

I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast steamy read.  I can't wait for the next book in this series!

As I lay there, trying to swallow a loud, obnoxious yawn, I remembered something he’d said when we first met, about life being too short. I imagined he had firsthand experience with shortened lives while he was serving. That mentality came from experience. I got that now. Could even understand it, but there was something I didn’t understand. “Why?” I asked. There was a beat. “Why what?” Jax sounded tired, and I should shut up or point out that I was now tired and could sleep, so he could leave. But I didn’t. “Why are you here? You don’t know me and . . .” I trailed off, because there really wasn’t anything left to say. A minute went by, and he hadn’t answered my question, and then I think another minute ticked on, and I was okay with him not answering because maybe he didn’t even know. Or maybe he was just bored and that was why he was here. But then he moved. Jax pressed against my back, and the next breath I took got stuck in my throat. My eyes shot open. The sheet and blanket were between us, but they felt like nothing. “What are you doing?” I asked. “Getting comfortable.” He dropped an arm over my waist, and my entire body jerked against his. “It’s time to sleep I think.” “But—” “You can’t sleep when you talk,” he remarked. “You don’t need to be all up on me,” I pointed out. His answering chuckle stirred the hair along the back of my neck. “Honey, I’m not all up on you.” I freaking begged to differ on that point. I started to wiggle away, but the arm around my waist tightened, holding me in place. “You’re not going anywhere,” he announced casually, as if he wasn’t holding me prisoner in the bed. Okay. The whole prisoner thing might be melodramatic, but he wasn’t letting me up. Not when he was getting all kinds of comfy behind me. Oh my God, this was spooning. Total spooning. I was spooning with an honorary member of the Hot Guy Brigade. Did I wake up in a parallel universe? “Sleep,” he demanded, as if the one word carried that much power. “Go to sleep, Calla.” This time his voice was softer, quieter. “Yeah, it doesn’t work that way, Jax. You have a nice voice, but it doesn’t hold the power to make me sleep on your command.” He chuckled. I rolled my eyes, but the most ridiculous thing ever was the fact that after a couple of minutes, my eyes stayed shut. I . . . I actually settled in against him. With his front pressed to my back, his long legs cradling mine, and his arm snug around my waist, I actually did feel safe. More than that, I felt something else—something I hadn’t felt in years. I felt cared for . . . cherished. Which was the epitome of dumb, because I barely knew him, but feeling that, recognizing what the warm, buzzing feeling was, I fell right asleep.   Stay With Me Teaser 2

Somewhere Between Water and Sky by Elora Ramirez + Giveaway

~*SYNOPSIS*~

I heard it said once that every human is a story with skin. If this is true, paragraphs would be etched in the scars on my wrists. Whole chapters could be written about the way my heart pounds when I startle awake. And every single one of my tears could fill a book. But stories, with all their promise, only leave room for disappointment. I don’t have room for that anymore. I left it all—the hope, the love, the promise—back in my old life with the ghosts I’d rather forget: Jude. Emma. Pacey. This is how I dare to move forward and to believe in a new beginning. I let go of the old. I just grab the new and run. I don’t wait around anymore. I can’t. Waiting leaves room for the voices. Somewhere between water and sky, I'll find a way to burn these voices to the ground.

I groan as my broken dick comes to life, apparently not caught up with the news that she doesn’t like him. She stands at the end of the table, arms crossed over her chest, unaware that her position puts her sexy tits up on display.

Fuck, this woman is a tease.

“Hey, sweetheart,” I say before taking a sip of my beer.

“Don’t sweetheart me. What did you say to my date?” she snaps, anger clear on her face, and I’ve never seen a more beautiful look on her. Her eyes blaze with fire and the need to push her more fills me. I can’t wait to have her under me.

“Oh, the stiff?” I ask nonchalantly. “Just told him to run along; he didn't have what it takes to play with the big boys,” I say as some of the brothers laugh into their drinks.

I’ve never pushed a woman this far before; chasing her and teasing her feels so damn good. Something about her pushes my buttons and leaves me wanting more. Most women fall at my feet begging to get in, but Kadence? No, this woman makes me want to do the begging. I’ve never wanted to fuck a woman so hard while spanking her ass at the same time. The way she reacts to me makes my dick hard and God help me, getting her riled up is a sight to see. I can see it in her eyes; she’s fighting it. She wants me and I intend to give the lady what she wants.

“What do you want, Phoenix?” she demands, uncrossing her arms and assuming a relaxed position, but I’m not stupid. The woman is crazy mad and I’ve got a throbbing dick to prove it.

“What do I want?” I repeat her question, pausing to take another pull on my beer. “Well, after your little stunt in the bathroom, I wanna pull you down on this table and spank your ass,” I tell her calmly. Even though my balls are aching, my cock is pulsing.

“You disgust me,” she hisses and turns to walk away. I grab onto her hand, turning her my way. She tries to pull out of my grasp, but my hold on her is strong.

You don't mean that. I've seen the way your eyes flash. You would love for me to spank that sexy ass right here for everyone to see. Wouldn't you?” Embarrassment floods her cheeks, and for a beat, I think I might have pushed her too far.

~REVIEW BY JODIE RAE~

I rated Incandescent by River Savage FOUR LEAVES!

I am a total sucker for Motorcycle Club books.  I love the men, the sassy women, and the loyalty they all have for each other. I think the addiction came from watching Jax of Sons of Anarchy back when the show first started.  If you have read and enjoyed Kristen Ashley's Motorcycle Man or you're a fan of the beloved Jax, I believe you will enjoy this book! If you're into sexy alpha hero that is rough around the edges, a steamy romance, and strong heroine... then this book is for you!

Nix is a member of the Knights Rebels.  He is raw, harsh, and sexy! He wants Kadence and doesn't intend to take no for an answer.  Kadence is a sassy lady that has a smart mouth.  Kadence has been through a lot in the past couple of years due to a crazy ex.  Nix and Kadence are so great together.  Their attraction is so intense that neither of them are emotionally prepared.  I enjoyed the two characters so much and how they fought and loved and then learned to compromise.  All of the characters in this story had depth, even the minor secondary characters that will be in future books.  I look forward to reading more about the Knights Rebel! This is going to be a great series and an author that you need to watch out for!
