~*REVIEW BY JODIE RAE*~
I recently heard about K. Webster from an author friend and now I am her biggest fan!! This book…wow…this book was pure crazy brilliance.
I’m having a hard way with my words to describe this book. Not only is this book sexy, but it’s very
antsy, and with her writing you know she has something crazy up her
sleeve. Once
you think you have it figured
out, you don’t. You get lead down a dark path where you question
everything and everyone. You should know there are going to be some
twists
and turns that you don’t see coming. You
start her story and you are like, "how in the world did she think of this?" I would
love to be in her mind for a day!!
Sweet Jayne is a standalone book that
is dark romance and so very captivating, with a dash of taboo and mystery added into it. This story is about four main people and that includes: Nadia, Kasper, Logan, and Donavan. Yes,
that might be a lot to take in but this a very unique book. You do not get
confused, you understand very clearly who everyone is quickly in the story.
The book is told mostly in Nadia and
Kasper’s POV. This review is about the men in Nadia’s life. The book starts off with Nadia and her mother moving to
America. Her mother married a man named, Donavan Jayne. In which, he
adopts Nadia to be his daughter. Making her… Nadia Jayne. From the start of their relationship it was always
a little more than a stepfather/daughter relationship. (I freaking love taboo
stories like this and enjoyed Daddy Donavan very much!!)
An
event happens to Nadia where she puts all her energy into finding the answers and
the truth. That is where Kasper comes along. In the beginning, I did not like him and I
really wanted to know what would happen with him and Nadia. Nadia knows something that Kasper wants and
he becomes a cop just so he can uncover the truth. As the book goes on you will see Kasper in a
different light and you will understand him better. Now, this leaves me with Logan. Logan is such an intense crazy guy...I think YOU need to read the story to find out his story!!
I know this review is very vague, but
let me tell you, I don’t want to ruin anything because this book is one of
those books that must be read and experienced. When you are reading this book
you will feel a range of emotions. Once
you buy your ticket to ride on this rollercoaster you will not just take a ride but have chance that will forever change you. And just like a rollercoaster you will be left breathless!!
