But once in a lifetime kind of love doesn’t come easy. When trust crumbles and doubts creep in, both will have to decide to either love or let go…forever.
Welcome to Briarcrest Academy, where sometimes, only the wicked survive.

Cuba’s POV
Not exactly a meet-cute…
The room closed in, making me sweat. I hadn’t talked to her in over a year, and now here we were, face-to-face. Two ex-lovers who hated each other.
I had to get away from her.
Dovey tilted her head as I stood, giving me a scathing glare. “Leaving so soon? Yeah, go ahead, cut and run. Coward.”
I ignored her and tried to get Weinstein’s attention, to let her know she could flunk me for all I cared.
“Before you go, tell me one thing, and I’ll make sure we aren’t partners in this class. You’ll be free of me,” she said.
“What?” I asked, my voice going all raspy, blocking all the words I wanted to say. They weren’t things she ever needed to hear.
“Why so cruel to me? You aren’t to the other girls you date and dump. Why single me out?”
I seethed. “And it didn’t take you long to find someone else, now did it? How is Spider? Does he get you hot like I did?”
She smirked. “He’s fine. He thinks I hung the moon. He thinks you’re an ass. I agree.”
I tightened my fists and pressed them against my thighs, swearing to myself I wasn’t responding to her bait. I swore. She was a dangerous game I didn’t need to play.
Suddenly, her face fell. Was she recalling the last time we were together? Was she remembering how I used to…
“I trusted you,” she whispered, all her anger seeming to be gone. The unsteadiness of her voice undid me, sent me right over the edge of that precarious cliff I’d been hanging on to by the skin of my teeth.
Yeah, she hadn’t been the only one who’d trusted me. I’d ruined them all. Every last one. Dark thoughts assaulted me, of the blood I had on my hands.
Snap! My pencil broke and small pieces flew across my desk and into the empty space between us.
I wanted to pummel my desk until my fists bled. I wanted to punch a hole through the wall, the floor, my face.
Everything was my fault. Just mine.
She’d been collateral damage, the kind that breaks everyone involved. And I was sorry for it, but sometimes you do what hurts because it’s for the best.
But she was my kryptonite, leaving me no option but to hurt her. Again.
I didn’t think about my cruel words, I just said them. “You were a curiosity, Dovey. You weren’t the usual BA girl, and I wanted a taste. That’s all. I moved on when it got boring. Get over it.”

After Hours

As I’m pressing send on the final email of the day, someone knocks on my door. I roll my eyes half in frustration, half in laughter.
“Come in, Mrs. Carter.” I glance up from my laptop as the door swings open, and I’m surprised at the sight before me.
I shake my head, wondering if my tired eyes are playing tricks on me, but I’m definitely looking upon one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. Kathryn greets me, her full lips turned up on one side, and I’ve missed them just as much as the gorgeous woman attached to them. My mind drifts off to the thought of her red lips wrapped around my hardening cock as I sit paralyzed in my chair.
“Sorry, dear, overworked Adam. Mrs. Carter’s already left for the day. It’s just you and me. No more papers to push or calls to be made.” She pulls the door shut behind her and locks it.
I can’t mask my smile when she faces me, her demeanor serious as if I’m in trouble. She stalks toward me, wrapped in a khaki trench coat.
I decide to play it cool and go along with her whatever game she’s playing. “Did we have an appointment today? I don’t remember seeing your name on my calendar.”
“Oh, I’m on your calendar, all right. I just asked Mrs. Carter to keep our little meeting to herself. I wanted the element of surprise.” She stands in front of my desk, way too fucking far away from me.

Ocean's Collide Book Blast

 Ocean's Collide
Book 1
Author: M.A. DeOlmos
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: December 3, 2013

My name is Livie Marie Acosta. I am a firm believer that childhood memories are supposed to be happy, joyous, and beautiful. I also believe everyone else in life has just that… except for me, of course.

I came close to having that once with my own family. I had a loving mother that treated me like her little princess. My father was, and still is, the biggest support system in my life, but even his love isn’t enough for me at times. I would have been a proud big sister at the age of seven, but Antonio Jr. was torn away from us before he was even born.

I was destined to be alone and hurt, both emotionally and physically scarred.

The only skeletons that remained of my once happy family was a father I adored, but who lived hundreds of miles away, and a mother whom I had spent most of my own life saving from her demons.
Like many people, they are scarred so deep that when they bleed, it is a reminder that they are still human.
I have a secret. A secret only I know about. I keep my secret well, and keep it hidden from the peeping eyes of the world.

At least I tried… that is until two angels barged into my life, and into my scattered heart. Their presence in my life spun me on my heels, turning my world yet again upside down, and right side up all at the same time.

What I find could either save me, or finally push me over the edge.

Here is my story…

Livie and Lawrence
I heard someone clearing their throat, causing me to snap my head up from my phone. Coming around the corner was a tall and very, very hot guy. I must have turned into a deer caught in some kind of bright and sexy as hell headlights. Since when did Paul Walker buff up and open an MMA studio.
“Can I help you?”
Realizing my mouth was open, I snapped it shut and nervously stuffed my phone in to my pocket. “Yes. I was actually wondering if the owner was hiring for staff yet. I saw an article in the paper highlighting a new MMA studio opening. Do you know where I can find the owner?”
“You’re looking at him, Sunshine.” I looked him up and down from head to toe again.
“Serious?” He looked a little offended by my response, but he looked so young to be in this business. He should be modeling or catching some hang ten waves as a professional surfer. He had that look about him.
“Ouch, Sunshine. What’s wrong with me being the owner?” He asked honestly while crossing his thick arms across his chest, and those biceps were oh so yummy.
“Sorry… I didn’t mean for it to sound so rude. You just look very young to be in this type of business. I hope I didn’t offend you.” His smile returned and it instantly calmed me.
“Sunshine, you don’t have to apologize,” he said as he made his way toward me. He extended his hand out and I took it in mine shaking it firmly. Dad always said a firm handshake was a sign of respect. His touch was warm and soothing. Something about him made me feel extremely comfortable. It wasn’t just that he was sexy and looked like the delicious Paul Walker. His energy enveloped me and calmed me for some reason. “I’m Lawrence Grant Hawthorne. Nice to meet you.” Letting go of his hand I smiled back.
“Livie Acosta. Nice to meet you, too.”
“So you say you're looking for a job? Here at my studio?” He asked this in a rather incredulous way. I ignored the dumb look on his face, because honestly, he didn’t know I could put him on his ass in a second. I reached into my shoulder bag and pulled out my portfolio. “Yes. I am interested in working for you, especially, if you are going to turn this studio into an MMA training facility. That’s what I read in the paper.”
He took my portfolio and opened it, keeping an eye on me as he perused it. He flipped it open and skimmed through it. This guy was tall, and I had to tilt my chin up just to make eye contact. God, I hated being short right now! As quickly as he opened the folder, he closed it and handed it back.
“Okay, Livie. You seem to have some experience in martial arts, and if you want to work for me, you wouldn’t mind showing me what you’re made of, would you?”
Cocky son of a bitch. I reached over, pulled my shoulder bag off, and laid it on the counter. I emptied my back pocket of my phone and car keys. Smiling, I looked up at him. “I thought you’d never ask.”

My name is Melissa DeOlmos, a newbie to the world of indie writing. I live in sunny side Palm Bay, Florida with my two lovely crazies ages five and two, along with my Law Enforcement champ of a husband. I could say that writing novels has been a passion that I've always pursued, but I can't. Writing for me has always been my own secret escape into a land of wonders, opportunities, loves and so much trouble that I sometimes wonder if I need medication for the stories that pop into my head. I am now deciding to share my mystical mind and stories with the world, so that hopefully others may also find that little something extra they've been looking for. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my books.
